Pursuant to the Philippine Biofuels Law of 2007, we are looking for strategic investors to put up capital, either for joint venture or lease, for the T’boli contiguous 20,000 hectares of land, as a resource for biofuels production (either for ethanol or biodiesel). Highlights are as follows:
The land is the ancestral land of the T’boli and Blaan Indigenous People, which consists of an aggregate 88,000 hectares of contiguous land, covered by Certificate of Ancestral Domain Claims (CADC) No. R11-CADC-168, consisting of 42,000 hectares, No. R11-CADC-169, consisting of 30,000 hectares, and still another 16,000 hectares currently under process in the National Commission for Indigenous Peoples (NCIP).
The ancestral land is situated in the Municipality of T’boli, a first class municipality, in the province of South Cotabato. The T’boli Municipality, like the rest of the towns and cities in South Cotabato province, is a typhoon-free where rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year while air humidity generally follows the rainfall pattern. The months from March to June are considered hottest while December and January are the coolest.
South Cotabato is an agribusiness destination since 37 years ago when Dole Philippines started its integrated vast pineapple plantation, main cannery plant, and community housing complex in Polomolok town, which is neighbor to the T’boli town. South Cotabato is the leading producer of pineapple, asparagus, corn, rice, and cattle.
The ancestral land has extensive farm-to-market roads and has a crater-lake feed by underground springs known as Lake Maughan atop Mt. Parker volcano. The lake is the source of five (5) big rivers in South Cotabato, and can be tapped for irrigation.
T’boli town is near General Santos City, an urbanized city where there are seaport and airport (please see attached map).
The Municipality of T’boli has good peace and order condition, and welcomes foreign investors. In fact, two big agribusiness corporations have plantations in the T’boli municipality, namely, Dole Philippines and Upland Banana Corporation-SUMIFRU.
Currently, the T’boli ancestral land has available 20,000 hectares of flat, gentle rolling, and turtle back rolling lands, which are ideal for jatropha plantation and site of production and manufacturing facilities. The land is for long-term lease, initially at P 10,000 per hectare per year. ( Exchange rate: U.S. $ 1= P 47.00, as of April 20, 2009).
Our company, Cruzvill Management and Trading, Inc. is T’boli / Blaan Indigenous People’s sole and exclusive management advisor, project developer, and investment counselor/linkager, and also their Attorney-In-Fact to represent them in negotiation with appropriate investors.
